Ray Collins (American football) was an American football player who played for the New York Giants from 1950 to 1956. He was born on August 4, 1927 in New York City. Collins attended the University of Michigan, where he was a two-time All-American and a member of the 1948 national championship team. He was drafted by the Giants in the first round of the 1950 NFL Draft. During his seven-year career with the Giants, Collins was a two-time Pro Bowler and was named to the All-Pro team in 1954. He was also a member of the 1956 NFL Championship team. After retiring from football, Collins worked as a stockbroker and later as a financial advisor. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1975. Ray Collins (American football) died on April 28, 2020 at the age of 92. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and four grandchildren.

Alvin Raymond Collins (August 4, 1927 – November 3, 1991) was an American football defensive tackle who played for the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants as well as in Canada for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1953 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1955 (winning All-Canadian honors), and finally for the American Football League's Dallas Texans. He played college football at Louisiana State University for the LSU Tigers football team.
